Room was recently renovated. Shower took over 4 minutes to get hot water. Toilet seal was new and leaked periodically causing a squeak. Easy to close the door and ignore. Stairwell was closed due to new stone being placed. Pretty as always. It rained. Price was great. Staff were amazing. Room was very clean.
Went for skiing, was great but most of the black diamond runs we're closed. Not cool. I ski green that was excellent. The others in my group we're not happy. The services were excellent. Still we liked nubs nob better all around.
Horrible customer service! I was told by the front desk I could change my lift ticket by simply coming there first thing in the morning, they would void that day and change for me. Seemed easy enough. I did exactly what the front desk instructed me to do and was meet with a rude, non-caring front desk staff member who said there's nothing she could do, that's not our policy and would not help. I asked for the hotel manager and was told again, he probably wont help either. After several attempts and hours spent arguing they changed the ticket, very rude and unpleasant. I would not recommend any Boyne property. They lack basic customer service skills!
We've stayed here multiple times, enjoyed it. This most recent time there was an issue getting our condo ready in time. We weren't able to check in for at least 6 hours after arriving -- and then the lock on the door needed replacing so we couldn't close the door securely until the next day (when security and repair guys both showed up, at separate times, to collectively fix the problem). We were not accommodated by Boyne or given any comps from management -- which was frustrating. A coupon for a meal, or a pass for the arcade or avalanche bay would have gone a long way towards helping us keep our kids from going stir crazy while we waited to get into our room. Will we be back? If we are tagging along with friends who want to go there, maybe.
Really enjoyed myself skiing here right before Christmas. The village and the staff treat this place like a first rate ski resort with greeters, nice shops, courteous staff on the hill, and at the lifts. Parking and transportation are pretty easy. Prices seem reasonable.
