**ORIGINAL REVIEW**

Bear River Health hands down is the best suststance abuse healing center in Michigan. You wont find a better team of healers. The big open Campus and being able to walk around outside makes all the difference.

Was great and I am grateful for them. But you Dr and this is just my opinion work smarter not harder be there for your patients even after we have gone. Like a support group?Return my call and straighten things out. It will take five minutes thank you .

The location and the facility are top notch and I could tell the employees are passionate about the work they do and the lives they change.

Just recently my boyfriend and father of my children decided to come here. Something I thought was a saving grace to the long battle we've endured. As if struggling with addiction isn’t hard enough on a family, 2 weeks after he got home from this facility, a nurse employed here began texting him. She was sending him photos of herself and saying things like “you chose Kay over me”. This is completely unprofessional, disrespectful and trashy. When I called the facility to report what happened, I was told that unless I have proof of this, she wouldn't take any action. This is somewhat understandable, however, these texts were on his phone and after I seen them he deleted all evidence immediately. I’ve called a few times to speak with woman who they put me in touch with when I asked to speak with whoever’s in charge to deal with this type of situation about the incident but she doesn’t return my calls. I’m disgusted by this entire situation. This “nurse” was supposed to be looking after patients and helping them overcome their addiction; not acting like a heartless home-wrecker. My warning to anyone who is considering this facility: Don't! Especially if you are already struggling to keep your relationship afloat due to the hardship and struggle of addiction because the nurses here clearly have other agendas.

I have stopped and taken a tour of the facility. I am very impressed by the campus and the professionalism the employees exude. I would be very comfortable and confident referring a friend, coworker or other individual with challenges to Bear River Health and would even assist with a ride if needed.

Really Dr giving your self five stars. I would have . although we briefly spoke in passing!?? And ama ? Your website claims each patient is seen by you on a regular basis..not me? The staff

**UPDATE 11-08-17

Since my last review, Bear River Health has reached out and spoke with me a couple of times. They wanted to let me know that they have put their nurses through a new “training course." In this course, they are being taught that they they may not reach out to patients for at least 2 years after they leave. I’m still not happy with this situation. In my eyes, a nurse should know better than to fraternize with her patients - especially ones who are spending weeks away from their family trying to overcome an addiction; these people are already at a low state of mind and vulnerable. (My boyfriend was only out of this facility approximately 2 weeks before I caught this nurse sending him inappropriate photos of herself and complaining how he chose me over her.) This incident has caused even more damage to my boyfriend. He is struggling once again because as we all know, those struggling with addiction are already vulnerable to addiction and any bump in the road can become a downward spiral. Bear River Health has offered to provide counseling for us and over the phone guidance/intervention for him. While I know the facility isn’t entirely to blame, this nurse is still employed at their facility. Who knows if this is something she has done in the past and who’s to say she’s gonna follow the rules now? In my opinion, this woman has no business being a nurse OR anywhere near people who actually need aid.
